Key Aims and Objectives
To educate and guide the Ummah to order all spheres of their lives in a manner that would not infringe or compromise the spirit and essence of the Shar’iah;
To bring together individuals involved in all spheres of society. whether professionally or academically, with the aim of fostering the spirit of Islamic brotherhood and co-operation
To forge ties with national and international Muslim professional bodies and to facilitate the process of continuing education for its members and the broader community
To assist and encourage Muslim professionals to develop, understand, appreciate and promote an Islamic ethos in the practice and administration of their respective professions
To promote Shar’iah research and education for the benefit of Muslim professionals and the wider Muslim community
To empower Muslim professionals with the necessary knowledge and expertise for the protection of the Shar’iah as prescribed in the Qur’an and Sunnah and demonstrated in the lives of the Sahabah رضي الله عنهم
To liaise and interact with other professional and community organizations with a view to promoting and fostering mutual co-operation on matters of common interest
To participate in relevant national and international conferences to facilitate the process of continuing education for its members for the benefit of the Muslim community
To link the Muslim professionals to our Senior Ulama and Mashāikh with the object of promoting their spiritual reformation
To foster the realization among Muslim professionals that their identity as Muslims ranks in priority to their identity as professionals and to promote their embracing of the ethic: “We are first and foremost Muslims”
To promote the principles of Islamic Law and the protection of Islamic values through all available processes, whether through the Courts, the media, through engagement with the legislative authority of the State or by such means as the Association may in its discretion deem appropriate
To resist and challenge all discriminatory practices in conflict with the Holy Qur’an and the practice and teachings of Nabi Muhammad ﷺ (the Sunnah)
To render legal advice and representation to redress injustices perpetrated in violation of the injunctions of the Holy Qur’an and the practice and instruction of Nabi Muhammad ﷺ(the Sunnah).
