The fundamental mission of the Association is to promote and foster among its members a firm resolve and commitment to upholding the values enshrined in the Quran and Sunnah. This is the fundamental advice that our Nabi (ﷺ) rendered to us when he stated: “I have left with you something which, if you firmly hold onto, you will never go astray: Allah’s ﷻBook and my Sunnah way!” (reference?)
The Association is also committed to the preservation of the Dīn of Islam through the guidance of our senior Ulama and Mashāikh, and intends to pursue the empowerment of the Muslim community strictly in accordance with Shar‘i values and principles. It intends, moreover, to challenge all attempts at demonising Islam, to counter oppression and injustice from whatever sources such may emanate, and to resist any inequities attributable to any national or international crisis. The Association aims to highlight and to campaign against public policies that are inimical to Islam and pernicious to Muslims.
AMPSA also aims to be vigilant against the tendency of some within the Muslim community to compromise on Shari‘ah principles, whatever their motivation or attempted justification.
